Sq. Enix withdraws from IO Interactive, is in negotiations with traders – RIP Hitman? – Rain Cafe
Sq. Enix simply introduced that it has withdrawn from the enterprise of IO Interactive.
Having acquired IO Interactive in 2009, at the moment Sq. Enix introduced that they’re pulling out. The precise quote from Sq. Enix is as follows:
“To maximize player satisfaction as well as market potential going forward, we are focusing our resources and energies on key franchises and studios. As a result, the Company has regrettably decided to withdraw from the business of IO INTERACTIVE A/S, a wholly‐owned subsidiary and a Danish corporation, as of March 31, 2017.”
They’re already in talks with potential new traders for IO Interactive:
“As a result of this the Company started discussions with potential new investors and is currently in negotiations to secure this investment. Whilst there can be no guarantees that the negotiations will be concluded successfully, they are being explored since this is in the best interests of our shareholders, the studio and the industry as a whole.”
That is unhappy information for positive for IO Interactive and there’s no point out on whether or not the sale would come with the Hitman IP or every other specifics but. HITMAN (2016) was one of many few implementations of video games as a service that appeared to work for each critics and followers. I do know I had loads of enjoyable with every location.
HITMAN (2016) is out there on PlayStation four, Xbox One, and PC.
